Aerial Shot

An aerial shot is a cinematographic technique where an exterior scene is filmed from an elevated perspective using an aircraft, drone, helicopter, crane, or other airborne devices. It is also known as a bird’s-eye view, as it provides a top-down perspective of the scene below.

Uses of Aerial Shots

1. Establishing Shots – Helps set the location and scale of a scene.
2. Chase Sequences – Enhances dynamic action in car chases or pursuits.
3. Event Coverage – Captures large-scale events, crowds, or landscapes.
